On the St John's Ambulance web site you can request a free First Aid Pocket Guide Book covering 5 common conditions where you could be the difference between life and death.

The guide covers six key first aid techniques, including Choking, Severe bleeding, What to do when someone is unresponsive, Recovery position, CPR (cardio-pulmonary resuscitation) and Heart attack.

Complete the form on their page and they will send one direct to your door. When it arrives just pop it into your first aid kit for easy access in an emergency. Every home should have one.
