Making the most of this Christmas after a less than normal one last year due to the pandemic seems to be a common theme this year. Both Argos and ASDA have jumped on that format for their Christmas ads too.
We rated this one 8th spot in our Top 10 Christmas 2021 TV Ads blog. For us, the best part of the ad is the song, Etta James' classic 'At Last' which is a great classy choice if you're going to make a thing of coming out on the other side of the pandemic.
The rest of the ad isn't that imaginative and is very heavy on food and feasting. This is a Christmas to savour for sure but the slow motion effect of the 1 minute ad leaves us wanting for a bit of animation and humour.
