What is Trick or Treat?

Trick-or-treating has become a Halloween tradition in many countries around the world and involves mostly children going from door-to-door on Halloween night and dressed in costume, ringing doorbells to demand treats.

The history of how trick-or-treating came about isn't 100% clear but most accounts trace the tradition all the way back to ancient Celtic festivals, early Roman Catholic holidays, medieval practices—and even British politics. The History Channel is a great article about how trick-or-treating became a Halloween tradition. If you want to know more, it's worth having a read.

If you're the kind of person that likes to prepare early for things, you may have some time to learn how to make a few of your own Halloween sweets. This video from Youtube Channel 'Tasty Recipes' is packed with really great ideas on how to make your own terrifying treats.
