Disney Plus is better with Star

What is Disney Plus?

Disney+ is a streaming service dedicated to films and TV shows from Disney and other franchises owned by the entertainment giant, such as Pixar, Marvel, Star Wars, National Geographic and lots more.

Since launching their streaming service, they have notched up so many subscribers that they are fast becoming the closest rivals to Netflix and Amazon Prime, all vying for your eyeballs.

With the addition of Disney+ Star, they will no doubt scoop up another flurry of subscribers, thanks to the vast selection of non-Disney owned films and shows in their catalogue.

How do I get Disney Plus Star?

If you are a current subscriber to Disney Plus, Star has already been bolted on for you, so you can simply start watching all the other shows available.

If you were one of the few that didn't sign up for Disney Plus when they launched, you may want to have a second look now that they have added Star to their subscription.

• Futurama
  This Sci-Fi cartoon is another classic animated comedy series to be added to the streaming service. The story focuses on a pizza delivery guy called Philip J Fry, who gets frozen in 1999, and then unfrozen in 2999.


• Glee
  This comedy-drama musical sitcom is a firm family favourite and follows a group of students who join a glee club in High School to swerve the harsh realities of school life.


• Sons of Anarchy
  A crime drama show that follows a man who is trying to find a balance between looking after his son and being part of an outlaw biker gang in California. This show follows the generic anti-hero protagonist story of a criminal trying to become a better man and do right by his family at the same time.


• 24
  This edge of your seat action TV show follows a counter-terrorist agent called Jack Bauer, on multiple missions to stop a terrorist attack, in the space of one day. Each season is loaded with exhilarating storylines and subplots.


• How I Met Your Mother
  This is a romantic comedy sitcom about a father who tells his two children the story of how he had met their mother. Hilarious!


• Scandal
  Kerry Washington stars in this political thriller about a former media consultant for the president of the United States, who later turns to create her own firm of 'Fixers'. Lots of seasons and episodes to enjoy.


• Desperate Housewives
  A group of housewives who are close friends with each other in the seemingly idyllic Wisteria Lane, dotted with white picket fences. Behind the butter wouldn't melt images they project, lie some very dark shenanigans.


• Lost
  The story follows a group of survivors of a plane crash, who are stranded on a mysterious island in the middle of nowhere. They need to work together to survive their perilous predicament but soon find out that they are not alone.


• Modern Family
  A family sitcom shot as a mockumentary focuses on the lives of three different families, living in LA, and their lives intertwine with one and another.


• Prison Break
  This action crime series begins when Lincoln Burrows, is wrongly sentenced to death for a crime he did not commit. His younger brother, Michael Scofield, commits a crime to get into the same prison as his brother so he can break him out.


• Ugly Betty
  Comedy series is about a young girl called Betty Suarez, who struggles to find her inner beauty because she works for a fashion magazine company, and is surrounded by tall and attractive models all day long.
