Valspar has asked us to find 150 Mumsnet users to test Valspar Premium Blend v700™ Walls & Ceilings paint.

Here’s what Valspar has to say: “Put Valspar Premium Blend v700™ Walls & Ceilings Paint to the test. Blend v700 promises to give you ultimate coverage, pure colour and splatter resistance. With excellent scrubbability and great stain resistance means Blend v700™ withstands the toughest household stains from felt tips to black coffee, making it perfect for busy homes and high-traffic rooms, such as children’s bedrooms, dining rooms and hallways. With long-term performance you can rely on, your colour will stay true for years to come. As well as being available in a variety of finishes, including matt, mid-sheen and silk, the Valspar unique colour matching technology can replicate any colour the eye can see - that's 2.2 million shades! Choose a colour that's personal to you and your family - be it the shade of a festive Christmas bauble, or a favourite ornament, simply take the item to your local B&Q and its exact colour can be scanned and recreated in paint form.”

This product test is open to UK MNers who are homeowners and are available to paint their room and give feedback by the 22nd January 2021.

Selected testers will be sent a voucher for a 2.5L tin of Valspar Premium Blend v700™Walls & Ceilings, redeemable at B&Q. Testers will need to paint a room or wall in their home and share their feedback via a thread on Mumsnet as well as by completing a short survey. All selected testers who give the required feedback will be entered into a prize draw where one MNer will win a £100 voucher.

If you’re interested in taking part, please sign up here.

Thanks and good luck!

Signed up, my utility room keeps getting grubby from all the tools I hang up in there.

1 2.5l tin? That’s not going to go very far. So would cost me to be a tester, as I’d have to buy more tins.....

I have some tins of it waiting to be used. If I could use the voucher for other things instead i might find the energy to pain before 22nd Jan!

Now this trial would be an amazing one to be part of, nothing like a newly decorated home at the start of each year.
Merry Christmas everyone and good luck.

Would love to try. In the process of changing the paint work in the house just finished the lounge today. Still lots of rooms to do as I am making use of the hubby being off work.

Our house is looking very tired inside since we last decorated in 2002 just before our first child was born. So it would be fantastic to be able to spruce some of it up! (The house, not the child)Wink

I'd suggest Googling "Valspar paint cat urine" before slapping it on your walls. I am one of hundreds who bought faulty paint from Valspar, who maintain the smell of cat urine in my living room is nothing to do with their paint.

I need to repaint the hall as my son has chucked pop on it so I need a paint with good coverage.

Fingers crossed I get to test it . Our little boy's room needs to be refreshed . Would definitely have the time to paint now after our January holiday was cancelled 😞 booked it over a year ago long before things gone wrong with the world 😬

thats no longer an issue it was due to them replacing a component of paint with something else....all swapped back now

2.5 litres will go a long way....prep the walls properly and it will give good coverage

It will do one coat on only 2 walls of most of the rooms in my house.
