McDonald’s is giving away FREE McMuffins this Sunday – how to claim yours

MCDONALD’S will be dishing out breakfast for FREE this Sunday to all customers who use the fast food chain’s app.
To mark the end of its month-long Appy Days promotion, hungry diners will be able to pick up a single McMuffin on the house on January 26.
All single McMuffins are included in the deal, so that means a choice between sausage and egg, bacon and egg, or for non-meat eaters, egg and cheese.
A single McMuffin typically costs £2.49 if you go for sausage and egg or bacon and egg, while an egg and cheese is priced at £2.09.
As prices do vary between restaurants, you amount you save will depend on your location.
To redeem your free brekkie, make sure you have the My McDonald's app downloaded to your smartphone.
This can be downloaded by either Google Play or the App Store.
Then once the offer is live, go down to the "Deals" section where you'll find a button for your free McMuffin.
The offer is valid during breakfast hours, which are usually between 5am and 11am in most restaurants.
Sadly, there'll be no brekkie in bed as the freebie can't be redeemed as a delivery order on Uber Eats.
That means you'll need to visit your nearest McDonald's to get your hands on your McMuffin.
The majority of McDonald's 1,200 restaurants will be taking part in the promotion though, so you've got plenty of branches to choose from.
Only 28 stores won't be participating as they aren't on the app.
We suggest using the McDonald's restaurant finder to track down your nearest Maccies.
You can then check the terms and conditions of the offer when the deal is live to make sure your closest branch is participating.
The offer is only good for single McMuffins, not doubles.
Unlike previous giveaways where you've had to buy a hot drink to get a McMuffin, you don't need to purchase anything on the Maccies menu this time.
Even if you've already redeemed a free breakfast this month, you can still go back for round two as the deal applies to new and existing app users.
Make sure you eat McDonald's responsibly though, as a bacon and egg McMuffin contains 310 calories, while a sausage and egg McMuffin has 430 calories.
An egg and cheese McMuffin is the slightly better option if you're watching your weight, with 295 calories.
Adult men should eat around 2,500 calories a day, according to NHS guidelines, while it's 2,000 calories for a woman.

The treats from Maccies don't stop here though, as the fast food chain will be giving out free fries to all app users tomorrow.
So far, McDonald's has also given away free milkshakes or Coke Zeros as part of their January promotion.
