AdvancedCut 50 with NanoBlade technology
The AdvancedCut 50 from Bosch makes sawing child's play. The innovative NanoBlade saw technology assures low vibrations, making working both effortless and precise. In contrast with jigsaws or sabre saws that work using up/down movements with high vibration, the AdvancedCut 50 employs a saw blade with revolving micro chain made of links measuring just 4 mm that works similarly to a chainsaw. These special saw blades enable the AdvancedCut 50 to handle a wide range of applications such as plunge cuts and mitre cuts.
Technical data
- Power: 500 W
- No-load stroke rate: 0 - 7800 rpm
- Cutting depth in wood: 50 mm
- Cutting depth in plastic: 30 mm
- Sole plate: Steel
- Machine weight: 1.7 kg
Performing plunge cuts without pre-drilling
Get started right away. Simply plunge the NanoBlade into the centre of the workpiece without the need for pre-drilling. Thanks to an evenly concentric chain, you can effortlessly saw precise recesses for cable ducts, power sockets or the kitchen sink – all without the need for any additional tools.
Mitre cuts
Precise mitre cuts up to 45° can be produced using the AdvancedCut 50. Simply use the quick-release clamping screw to set the exact tilt angle for the mitre cut.
Grooving
With the two grooving adapters supplied, you can cut grooves both effortlessly and precisely. You can also select between two cutting depths: 21 mm and 35 mm.
The NanoBlade saw blade
The key benefits of the NanoBlade are its low-vibration operation and the durability of the actual saw blade. You can trim up to 100 m of laminate flooring with a single saw blade. The NanoBlade saw blade is maintenance-free – no clamping, no oiling, no sharpening. Changing the blade is also very easy – simply open the end cap, replace the saw blade and then close the end cap again.
Right-angled cuts
You can use the guide rail adapter to fit the AdvancedCut 50 onto a guide rail. Straight cuts along the required cutting line then no longer present a problem. Thanks to the NanoBlade saw blade, the cuts are also at perfect right angles. A splinter guard protects the surface of the material from damage.
Clean application
If needed, an industrial vacuum cleaner can be connected to the AdvancedCut 50 from Bosch using an adapter. This then removes any splinters and dust generated during sawing from the cutting line and keeps your working area clean at all times.

- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 22 December 2020Style Name: AdvancedCut 50Verified PurchaseI bought this saw back in June 2020 and on my second use when trying to cut thick softwood (a timber joist) the chainsaw part of the blade broke.
I contacted Bosch and told them what had happened and returned the saw to Amazon for a refund (Amazon were their usual excellent self with a no quibble return and refund).
To their credit Bosch explained that they had a longer saw bloade for deeper cuts. The blade (part number - 2 609 256 D86) is a longer blade than the standard blade and as such is better suited to these deeper cuts.
SO when my next project came along (Dec 2020) I ordered another of these saws and the longer blade.
I was using 18 and 12mm MDF sheets. The saw was absolutely perfect for this task and the cuts were easy to do. The cuts were straight, clean and the edges were also perfectly square.
So my advice is to get this saw into your toolbox if you are ever cutting sheet material. In my opinion that is where it comes into it's own and makes the job a joy to do.
For that I totally recommend this saw.
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 30 March 2020Amazing that nobody has developed a product like this before. I needed to cut a door, and then a smaller door within it, in some existing panelling. I was creating a place for a litter box under stairs, and needed both a large door to be able to access / change the litter box, and a smaller door for our cat to regularly use it. I had considered jigsaws and reciprocating saws and then found this. It is really easy to use and precise. I wondered whether the 'plunge' capability would work. Having had to drill holes in order allow jigsaw access in the past, the plunge capability would be a huge aesthetic plus, and also make easier work of the project. It works perfectly.
There are two things that Bosch can work on for the next version, to make this even better: first, if the base plate could adjust to be flat on the surface while plunging, it would make it easier to line up such a cut. Second, ideally this product would allow the blade to be in two positions, eg 'down' and 'out front', basically combining the EasyCut 12 and EasyCut 50 into one. But, as it is now, this is a great device.
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 26 April 2020This nano blade tool is really good, easy to use and precise. I am not 100% sure with the durability of the blade, the first nano blade that was already in the saw lasted 20 cut and it wasn't good anymore.
I had a second blade that I ordered apart and it seems better than the the original.
Will see.
This tool it's not good for big stuff.

- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 15 June 2021I bought this as I thought it would be so much better than a jigsaw. How wrong I was. I used it to cut 7mm thick laminate flooring. First two rows it cut fine with good results.
Then it got harder to cut, the blade was turning off colour from heat. I kept cleaning the dust out,but it made no difference at all. In the end, I was having to put my whole weight behind it to get it to cut very slowly. It scorched the wood and smoked through friction burning. After two rows it was blunt and useless. I even used a second blade, same results.
Nice idea, but unless you're just using it for cutting balsa wood or fruit, I wouldn't bother. Bosch should withdraw them all.
Easy to use and accurate, but that doesn't save it.
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 1 January 2020After owning my previous Bosch jigsaw for 12 years I decided to treat myself and replace it. This jigsaw is really good, solidly built and cuts extremely well with none of the judders I was getting with my old one. I hope it lasts as long.
