Ultrasport Basic Ski Mittens Starflake, mittens for children with great freedom of movement

Water resistant and windproof

Kid's hands need protection against the cold, snow and moisture in the winter when they are riding, sledding, building snowmen or even skiing. The Ultrasport mittens for girls and boys from 2 to 14 years protects them from the outside against moisture and snow and the insides are lined with warm fleece material. Ultra Flow 2000 makes the gloves waterproof up to a water column of 2000 mm and their special membrane can also withstand a constant rain fall for up to 2 hours.

The Starflake Mittens are easier to put on using the strap with a Velcro closure on the entry and ensure great freedom of movement as well as fantastic grip. Hooks and eyelets keep them from getting lost when they are not being won and a hand strap does the same trick when they are on. A reflective print with pretty piping ensures the best protection in the dark. These mittens can be machine washed on a gentle cycle up to 30 °C.

    I got these for my daughter. She plays football and has been wearing knitted gloves. But there was a particularly cold, rainy/snowy day where she came off at the end complaining that she couldn't feel her hands. These ones though are "waterproof and very warm" so they wouldn't have those issues. For football she doesn't wear them though, probably because she prefers gloves to mittens (and she also takes throw-ins so it needs to spread her fingers for those).

    Anyway these feel good. They look like they have grip on the palm and thumb which presumably would be good for holding ski poles. They clip together so can be kept together when not in use meaning you shouldn't lose one. She might not go skiing but she still can wear these.

    A really comfortable and dry pair of ski-ing mittens. The wrist closes really securely on a velcro fastening, which is really strong and tough. These are really quite waterproof- my neice tried them out in the current snowy and icy weather. They clip together really easily so that they stay together as a pair. My only caveat is that they are just a tiny bit dull- even boys today love brighter colours but that aside, first class pair of mittens for tiny hands. Be careful of course, because they might just prefer gloves as mittens really do need to be removed to do anything at all
