Flood Pump

The Hozelock Flood Pump is ideal for use with solids up to 40mm. This pump is perfect for emptying dirty & clean water from flooded rooms, cellars, ditches & ponds. The pump can be left unattended & the automatic float switch will turn the pump on as the water level rises. It can also be used to move water around the garden e.g. from a paddling pool to a water butt.

Easy to use in four easy steps:

Connect The Hose

Push the hose onto the inlet and secure with a rust roof hose clip (hose clip not supplied).

Submerse Pump Into Water

Submerse pump into water, making sure there is 50cm of space around it in all directions.

Connect To Power

Insert the plug into a 220-240v A/C socket.

Begin To Use

Once the pump is connected to power the water will pump out via the hose connected.

    Bought to pump flood water from a cellar. Then you discover it will only pump water to a depth of 7cm, so leaving the cellar still with deep water. Not only that, it says you must not stand in the water when the pump is in use. How then do you empty a cellar? Totally useless - and returned to Amazon.

    The float switch is still annoying as hell and the fitting isn't great for much but it's reliable as hell. I probably wouldn't get a cheaper model unless I was desperate as this is bottom of the range as it is and I doubt anything cheaper would last very lond.

    For your own benefit there IS a little hook on the lid to allow for the float switch to be fixed but it's more the issue of it not having a manual override.

    will stop pumping below about an inch of water or if it loses pressure. I recommend buying a three way 25 inch tap and using it as a easy priming device to save you having to constantly undo the valve. As being in the pond business this will save you about 30 minutes total for when it runs dry and needs re-priming.

    Hose!ock won't a cept warranty under 12 months and amazon only do returns before 30 days. So I'm not sure which is more stupid. The fact amazon can't accept a return for repair or that I have to wait another 9 months to get it fixed. Will purchase another brand with better results as hozelock no longer will get any recommendations to my customers or from me and my business

    This beast can shift water at an enormous rate including 30 mm solids, I shall leave 'what' to your imagination. I use the pump to clean out debris from my many water butts that I have dotted around the place as it doesn't get clogged up with grit and moss off the roof. A truly brilliant pump and I highly recommend it to anyone who wants to shift water very quickly.

Product Description
The Flood Pump is a self priming pump that can pump dirty and clean water to enable the emptying of flooded rooms, cellars, ditches and other areas prone to flooding. It can be left on and will automatically switch on, when the float switch reaches a certain level. You can adjust the height at which the pump turns on by reducing the cable to the float switch. The pump is supplied with 10m of cable and a plug. This powerful, high quality pump is quiet in use and has a two year guarantee.
