    Bought 6 of these down lights to go in the lounge. Work really well and fit in seamlessly with our other Lifx bulbs around the house. Simple to setup and join to our existing WiFi network. Just make sure you have a rock solid good WiFi signal if you want them to stay online without dropping off occasionally. Nice how you can group them all together and then when you select a "Theme" it selects different colours for the individual bulbs to create a complete mood light. Looks amazing!

Installed 4 in ensuite bathroom never need them on more than 60% anything more and you need sunglasses so so bright! Extremely pleased with them.

    I have quite a few of these now. At first I was having a real problem connecting them to my BT Home Hub 5 but then I used an older tablet that only connects to the 2.4 Ghz network and everything worked immediately. I can now get one up and running in under 5 minutes.

    The lights themselves are really well made and fit straight into the ceiling cut-out from the old R63 downlights they replaced. They are also very, very bright but can be easily toned down either by using the Lifx app., Google Home or Alexa. The colours are also very impressive and I've found myself using various colour schemes far more than I thought I would. I have found that if you have several Lifx lights in the same room, both Google Home and Alexa can struggle to understand which one you want to adjust unless you give them very distinctive names. I'm hoping that this will become less of a problem as smart home voice technology improves.

    Now for the bad bit and something I didn't find out about until recently. I live in an area where power cuts aren't uncommon. When power resumes every Lifx bulb in the house turns on and the only way to ensure they don't is to actually turn the lights off at the switch, which rather makes the "smart" element of the bulb redundant. Even worse, I've found that if there is a power spike or a momentary loss in power, the bulbs can revert to 100%, which is very bright indeed. If I'm away from home, having a house lit up like Old Trafford is obviously a security concern. Even if I am home, having the bedroom light turn itself on a 4 o'clock in the morning isn't ideal.

    I believe Philips have introduced a software update that prevents Hue lights turning on after a power outage and I'll update this review if Lifx do the same but until then I can't recommend this system which is a shame because the light is a well built product and works really well provided it has a constant, uninterrupted power supply.

    I have 15 LIFX bulbs bought since 2018. I recently purchased an Orbi. The 5 newer LIFX bulbs I have connected to the Orbi with no problem. The 10 older LIFX bulbs won’t. LIFX have been useless and repeatedly said the problem is the Orbi and it is not their responsibility. The problem is not the Orbi. The problem is that they are supplying products that become out of date after 2 years (and past their warrantee) and they don’t care. I would not buy their bulbs again. I have 10 expensive bulbs that glow white. Who is to say that the same will not happen with the 5 newer bulbs. They won’t even take the older redundant bulbs back and replace them. But they won’t offer a solution either.
