As a 55-year-old man embracing the natural aerodynamics of a balding head, you might think my need for a top-notch razor is, well, minimal. But let me tell you, this 5 Blade Men's Razor with 15 refills is a game changer. Sure, my head doesn't have the luscious locks it once did, but the hair on my face? It's thriving, apparently to compensate. With each pass, this razor effortlessly glides through my beard like a Zamboni on ice, leaving nothing but smooth, kissable skin behind. My wife even mistook me for a younger man – she said it felt like kissing a marble statue. I’m not sure if that’s a compliment, but I’ll take it. The real kicker, though, is the 15 refills. I now have more razor refills than actual hair. I’m set until the next ice age, or at least until my grandkids start shaving. In summary, if you’re balding but still need a razor that performs like a luxury sports car, this is your best bet. It’s like having a midlife crisis but without the expensive convertible and more reasonably priced than other brand named razors. Four stars and a smooth scalp all the way. I deducted a star as I did not get as many shaves from one razor as I would from a brand name but as you get 16 razors in total, this is not an issue.

    Has you can see it cut bit of the card to make a small box to keep the razor inside with the blades stops water/steam from the bathroom, we brought 2 sets one for myself and one for my wife, for 35 yrs i always got the leading brand start with "G mach3" but i needed new handle as well has blades so i was thinking why not try these here is some info of what i think and using it for bit of time.
    1st i am a light shaver keep it clean cut 99% time.

    1st cut handle felt big over the "G mach3" which are narrow, the cut did not go well but i looked at the line of the blades and head to the "mach3" ones and found i need to tilt it bit more which i did on the 2nd cut and it was a much smoother cut.

    Cost of living these are a good buy.
    Well built steel-metal with rubber over it.
    Blade lifespan on my 3rd cut felt it pulling on the hair/skin.
    Razor blade head tilt, twist etc for me i found it hard to use but this is the 1st of this kind.
    Easy to clip the blades in and out.
    Trim cutter on the top of the razor "nearly cut my finger on it" forgot it was there, 1st time user with trim.

    My mrs said it nice to use on her legs, and only used it twice with no problems.
    She also picked up on the handle been thicker than the Mach 3 but did not find a problem using it.

    Would i buy again Yes, due to cost of living.
    Only downside for me is the lifespan of the blades, where the "Mach3" lasts weeks/months.

    Not sure what these be like on thick beard.

    First Use

    I was dubious about the razor, as I usually end up with nicks and cuts with cheap razors.
    I tried Harry's and King of Shaves, again these are expensive by comparsion.
    I am not about to get into a subscription model, as you end up forgetting about the subscription and end up buying more blades than needed.

    My usual razar is Gillette Fusion, but the blades are getting expensive.

    I had a clean shave without nicks or cuts. My intial observation is that the handle is very light and not weighted as well as the Gillette handle and these blades do to not fit the Gillette fusion handle. The shave is not as smooth either.

    I usually buy a bulk pack ie, 10 blades ( but comes with a handle). the cost has gone up from about £18.00 to £28.00 for these.

    I bought 16 blades at a reasonable price (came with handle), so even if the 16 blades last as long as the Gillette 10 blades, I am still saving

    You may not think this is saving much, but over the course of time, this is quite a saving.
    I still prefer my Gillette fusion, but unless they drop there prices I am sticking with these Amazon own brand.

    Second Use

    I grew my stubble for a few days, as i normally do.

    I tried a side by side comparison on using both these blades and my usual fusion blades.

    Amazon blades - Second use
    Fusion blades - 5th or 6th use

    Still No nicks or cuts , but you can really real the difference.

    The Amazon blades pull and feel rough over the face.
    By comparison the Fusion blades glide over the face.

    Not sure the Amazon blades will give same number of shaves per blade.

    I dont think Amazon blades are anywhere near the quality of the Gillette blades.

    No brainer which to order.

    Well I thought I would give this razor a try as it seemed a good deal and worked out considerably cheaper than the Gillette blades I have used for years. There was my mistake. Cheaper almost always isn't better and this is one more example proving this. I'm a middle aged Man ( am I allowed to say that I'm a Male?) I have been shaving for more years than I want to remember, so I kind of have a bit of experience of doing this shaving malarkey.
    My usual routine is only shave when the Mrs is at home, so when she is away for a few days I don't shave. Nor do I undertake many other mundane tasks like cleaning or doing the washing up... I slob out and let the bristles grow for a few days.
    The usual 4 days of growth are firstly met with my Panasonic trimmer that reduces the bristle to a couple of millimetres followed by a shower and then a shave using Gillette Mach 3 blades. Job done, house cleaned, happy Mrs.
    However on this occasion and using the newly purchased razors things didn't go well. I could tell the blades were not the same quality a the usuals on the first stroke. The downward stroke from the ear to the jaw... It rasped... and that was downward! Ok, bad blade I thought and after fumbling for about 5 mins to get a new blade fitted I resumed. Nope, this was no better. I could feel it dragging and yanking at the hairs. Ok so lets wash off the foam and get some hot water and new foam applied. This was still no better and in fact it was starting to become painful. Upward strokes were just horrendous and despite my best efforts I was left with the worst shaving rash I have ever had in my life. The skin around my chin looked like a very bad case of eczema and I had to apply some of the Mrs facial cream just to cool it down.
    Well the whole lot has been given to the good lady. Her leg hairs are like silk anyway so she now has a lifetime supply of razors.
    Me? I'm back to Gillette, sod the cost! The Mrs and my face thank me!

En fin, para gustos....Lo que no del todo, porque deberia ser "objetivo" , es que nadie explica qué edad tiene, qué tipo de barba tiene ni cuanto tiempo lleva afeítandose la misma ni con qué se estuvo afeitando antes.
    Yo tengo más de sesenta años y llevo afeitándome desde que tenia pelusilla, o sea desde hace más de 40 años. Actualmente, y desde hace veninte años, tengo la barba dura, espesa y cerrada, dificil de afeitar y de apurar. Tengo la piel normal, ni delicada ni dura, aunque ahora conmás dr mrdio siglo, si he de decir que no es tan tersa y tirante como con 30 años, es más flexible y dificil de afeitar, hay que sujetarla para apurar bien. Cosas de los años. Empecé con las cuchillas de las "tres letras" (eso si que era afeitarse y echarle valor) y he pasado por las Bic , las azules desechables de Guillette, las de doble, triple, cuádruple y quíntuple hoja de Gillette (proglide y fushion) las Wilkinson de dos, tres y cuatro hojas (sword quatro titanium) y todo lo que ha caido en mis manos. Las mejores, con diferencia, la Proglide y la Wilkinson quatro titanium de 5 y 4 hojas respectivamente. Más suave la Wilkinson, pero apurando conmás esfuerzo, y mejor apurado de la Proglide, pero más brava y dolorosa. La duración de ambas es extraordinaria, más de 20 afeitados y siguen, y siguen....

    Pues bien, y resumo, esta Solimo se queda entre una y la otra: no es tan brava como la Guillette ni tan suave como la Wilkinson, pero afeita y apura "exactamente" igual que ambas. Ni qué decir tiene que me paso a ella inmediatamente por tales cualidades, aparte de ser exactamente, y hablo solo de recambios, hasta 5 y 7 veces más barata dependiendo de si hablamos de la una o de la otra. Solo me falta comprobarr una cosa fundamental: el nº aproximado de afeitados. Si supera la docena, definitavamente superará también a las mencionadas reinas (para mi gusto) del afeitado.
    NOTA: Rogaria a los usuarios que dejen opiniones que dejaran también constancia de su edad, tipo de barba y tipo de piel que tienen. Considero que es fundamental para ser objetivos. Otra cosa son sus gustos personales.

    Ich habe den by Amazon Herrenrasierer mit 5 Klingen zusammen mit den 16 Nachfüllpackungen ausprobiert und bin insgesamt positiv überrascht. Anfangs war ich etwas skeptisch, da ich normalerweise teurere Markenrasierer nutze, aber dieser Rasierer kann definitiv mithalten.

    Der Rasierer selbst wirkt solide und liegt gut in der Hand. Das Gewicht ist angenehm, weder zu leicht noch zu schwer, was die Rasur komfortabel macht. Die fünf Klingen sind sehr scharf und gleiten wirklich sanft über die Haut. Ich habe eine gründliche und saubere Rasur, ohne dabei viel Druck ausüben zu müssen. Selbst an empfindlichen Stellen gibt es kaum Hautirritationen, was für mich ein großes Plus ist.

    Die Klingen halten überraschend lange. Ich konnte jede Klinge mehrfach verwenden, ohne dass sie sofort stumpf wurde. Mit den 16 Nachfüllpackungen kommt man also wirklich eine ganze Weile aus, was für den Preis ein sehr gutes Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis bietet. Das Wechselsystem für die Klingen funktioniert einwandfrei – die Klingen lassen sich schnell und einfach austauschen.

    Ein kleiner Kritikpunkt ist vielleicht, dass der Rasierer kein besonders auffälliges Design hat, aber das ist für mich eher zweitrangig. Er erfüllt seine Funktion und das zu einem sehr fairen Preis. Wer also einen zuverlässigen und günstigen Rasierer sucht, der dennoch gründlich arbeitet, wird hier auf jeden Fall fündig.

    Insgesamt bin ich mit dem Rasierer und den Nachfüllklingen sehr zufrieden. Für den täglichen Gebrauch ist er eine kostengünstige und praktische Alternative zu teureren Markenrasierern, ohne dass man große Abstriche bei der Rasurqualität machen muss.
