Application:

Low-level laser therapy (LLLT or low-power laser therapy), as used in Silk'n Lipo, uses a laser of a certain wavelength. The goal is adipocytes (fat cells) whose cell membranes are perforated so that the fat cells "leak". With repeated use, the fat cells eventually become smaller. This leads to the loss of excess fat in the treatment area and the loss of centimeters. LLLT doesn't hurt. The therapy is safe and non-invasive and has no negative side effects. In contrast to invasive treatments such as liposuction, you do not need to be anesthetized during LLLT treatment. LLLT is an excellent, reliable method for reducing the size of fat cells.

Step 1

Charge the treatment units before you start treatment with Silk'n Lipo. Moisten the pads and place them on a treatment center.

Step 2

Connect the treatment units to each other and to the belt and apply them on or around the area you want to treat. Make sure that there is good contact between the treatment centers and your skin and that the belt is properly secured.

Step 3

Press the ON button. The laser diodes light up red. Set the EMS energy level with the + and - buttons. Use the highest level that still feels comfortable

Step 4

Treatment plan:

Treat each section for 15 minutes. Do not use it more than three times a week in the areas of the body that you want to treat. Warning: Do not use Silk'n Lipo for tattoos. The laser light is absorbed by the ink and can cause burns.

I was lucky enough to be chosen to test and review this product on behalf of a company. I received the item well packaged from Amazon in quite a large box, I was expecting a slendertonw type size and product but this was maybe 2-3 times bigger. The belt itself is in 5 parts, the fabric, two clips and two electrode type boxes that require charging. Unlike the competitor products, you have to charge both modules first (without the skin pads) and then attach the pads. This is a little tricky as they don’t just stick/magnetically attach to the device. You have to stretch them over the fittings or they fall off. You’ll have to also wet them first. The belt is EXTREMELY tricky to put on, the units are heavy and it’s very fiddly to put around your belly and connect without dropping down! I tried a few times until I had the actual knack of doing it! There is no real feedback after you turn the unit on and start the exercise programme apart from a low beep and some less. I didn’t find the product exceptionally strong in relation to my slender tone belt and really didn’t feel the difference in 7 days use. I’m not sure how well the laser technology is effective for long term weight loss. As a physicist, the idea of a laser penetrating deep enough to attack fat cells is a little far fetched. I do think the product is very overpriced. I would imagine it to be less than £200 really and to be redesigned for easier use. I think if the technology is proven and also can be used for a longer period, it may be a good device. It gets 2/5 stars from me.

    I brought this product a few weeks back after deciding I could do with some help in shifting a few pounds and loosing a few inches in certain areas. It arrived well packaged with clear instructions, whilst it was a bit bigger than I expected it’s comfortable to wear once on. I’ve been using it for 3 weeks and am pleased with it so far and can already see results! So glad I took the plunge and brought this machine.

    I really enjoyed using this but it stopped working after a week.

    One thing you should bear in mind is this product is never going to make you lose weight without you changing your life style and diet. If you are overweight then you need to lose weight first and this device will help tone your body.

    You can't keep eating crap and expect this to work. The advert that shows a girl ( already super skinny) having it on and eating a sort of cheese panini at the same time, is very misleading.

    So please don't waste you money but instead eat well and exercise first then tone your body with this once you have lost the extra pounds.

    I recently purchased his product as I have very little time to exercise, I try to get out for a run once or twice a week but after loosing over 4 stone I have really loose sagging stomach muscles and thought I’d give it a go to try and help this. I’m fairly happy with my weight and as a size 10-12 really only find toning an issue. After about 6 uses I thought I’d write my review even though I haven’t as yet seen any real results (still hoping though). The first thing I like is how easy to use the product is, simply charge it up add a sprinkle of water and go. It’s light and portable and exceptionally comfortable to wear, ideal for quickly popping it on and continuing day to day tasks. It calao can be used on a wide variety of body parts so felt it was a more reasonable purchase than a pair of shorts or belt etc. The pads can be used on a small area singularly or doubled up to cover a larger area and there are three “belts” which range from arms and legs to bellies. The pads also have a large range of settings which are easily adjustable from a small pulse to a much stronger one. They hold charge really well so I can use them on different areas without having to wait for them to recharge. If you’re looking for a product that can be used for a quick 15 minutes several times a week then this could be for you, obviously it’s not going to change your body overnight but I’m hoping to see great results in the coming weeks

    My friend recommended I try this product since I have been trying to lose weight and tone up. I have onlybeen using it for a few weeks and have to say I'm really impressed so far. I usually do it watching tv and it doesn't hurt and is really easy to use. I have noticed a bit of a difference so far and hope it will continue to work well - I will give it the full three months suggested and see how I get on but I think it's great so far. I did need some help piecing it together when I opened it up but I'm not the best at following instructions.

    Okay so first off, this product comes packaged nicely and compactly in a neat box.

    It is really quite fiddly to get going. Wetting the pads and stretching them over the paddles is a little annoying but once they're on it's much easier. I'ts relatively comfortable to wear and the rest of the putting together part is simple.

    I've been using this over the past 4 weeks and I can't say i've seen any results but maybe after a few months. It definitely needs to be used alongside a good diet and exercise regime. This is not a magic machine that will make you lose weight while you sit on the sofa!

    While it's on i actually can't feel much. I was expecting more of a shock feel like some other similar products i've used but this was really mild in comparison.

    I think with some more research and development this could be quite a good product (if it works) but the price is too much.
