I like these kinds of trays because they have structure as well as the easy to pop out silicone of the individual cubes.
I have tried the all silicone trays...they were a complete nightmare to fill, to carry to the freezer, to place in the freezer, spilling contents everywhere.
These trays are different, they are a rigid plastic except the individual ice cube which are soft silicone.
I can easily hold the tray one handed without spilling anything.
They also have lids which help keep the cubes fresh and stop any aromas getting in or out.
I use mine for freezing fruit puree, garlic chilli and herbs all in oil.
That way I have cubes of fruit for smoothies or ice creams, as well as herbs and garlic or chilli or fresh ginger, tamarind, and tumeric root whenever I need it.
I can also freeze lemonade , say if I buy a bottle and it goes flat, I pour it into the ice cube trays , maybe add a little fresh zest or mint, and then when it's hot either use as ice cubes or 10 seconds in a whizzer and you have shave ice or slushy on demand.
I have quite a few of these now and because of the lids and the stable structure of the trays you can easily stack them on top of each other.
I have 4 stacks, one for fruit pulps, one for fruit juices and lemonade, one for herbs and one for spices.
Wash in hot soapy water. Because each cube part is soft silicone that pops up to easily release each cube they are also easy to clean.
