What happens when you meet your perfect match... at the wrong time, in the wrong place?

Leana Mackenzie is craving something more. At twenty-two, she’s ready to trade the peaceful rhythm of her life on the Isle of Skye for the pulse of the big city. With her heart full of dreams, she leaves the comfort of her close-knit family and her quiet village, to dive headfirst into the vibrant bustle of Edinburgh.

Enter
Alasdair: a talented singer-songwriter with a voice as captivating as his smile. Their chemistry is undeniable, and soon, Leana finds herself swept up in a whirlwind romance. Life with Alasdair feels like the adventure she’s always dreamed of—until the shine of city life begins to dull, and the yearning for home tugs at her soul.

But just as Leana starts to question where she truly belongs, Alasdair is offered the break of a lifetime. Now, Leana faces an impossible choice: follow the man she loves into the world of fame and fortune, or return to the quiet, predictable life she thought she’d left behind.

Home is where the heart is... but what happens when your heart is torn between two worlds?

I bought all 3 of the Loch Lannick series. Enjoyed book 1, though confused with Book 2 as it started when all the main characters were teenagers. As book 1 told the story of Leana and Alistairs love story when they were older, I just felt Book 2 should have been Book 1.

Easy reading for holidays, journeys or just when you don’t need to concentrate on the storyline if you put it down or fall asleep,. It’s a happy book, set in what seems the most idyllic of settings. It has made me want to find this magical place.
This was the perfect ending that you expected all along leaving you with a couple of questions which will obviously get answered in the other books however a great introduction to all the characters...

A new series from Hannah Ellis-talk about all my Christmases coming at once!! And I was thrilled to meet Leah Mackenzie, who is working at the Old Inn-'a quaint public house in the sleepy village of Lannick on the Isle of Skye.'

I jumped straight in and was absolutely smitten with both the sense of warmth and community  and of course the characters. This book was homely and lovely and as I landed in the midst of a large group of people, I was thrilled at the opportunity to meet a new  set of characters. As always I took it into consideration that this is the beginning of a series, so there's people and places to get to know, but I was taken with them all.

I beyond hearted the family banter but then couldn't believe I loved the new crowd too!! There was so much that was feel good about this, with a good auld search for someone that had me thinking 'will they? WILL THEY?!' And then add in the romance and drama and im so in!! Loved where this is going and can't wait to see what happens next!!

Great story ... great characters. I breezed right through this book, loving the dynamic of Leana and her family and friends. The description of Loch Lannick made me want to live there.

Hannah Ellis did an amazing job telling the story of a young woman's search for happiness in the city, only to realize it's not for her. Now that she's found love, can she find a way to have it all?
