 Apple Mackbook Air is my favourite new toy. It’s an extremely powerful laptop and what an incredible laptop it is especially for its size. At its thinnest point the Air is just 4mm thick, and less than 2cm at its widest. It has a glorious aluminium form, beautiful backlit keyboard, vibrant 13.3in LED-lit screen, muscular Intel Core 2 Duo processor and 128GB storage space.
A design and engineering masterpiece, Mac as x runs like lightning and multi-touch is a marvel. The new touchpad gesture controls are very useful also and one of its coolest features is its remote optical drive which makes living without a built-in drive much easier. Even without the DVD it’s a master class in industrial design that will ensure envious looks on the train and coos from everyone who caresses its sleek and sexy aluminium shell. The NVIDIA GeForce 9400M brings amazing, high-speed graphics to MacBook Air and there’s plenty of storage space for my photos, movies and documents.
This is a great computer that will work well with anything. It is great with the internet and wireless and will play games decently well. It is not a gaming laptop and is meant to be small and compact and be primarily used for business. This being said, it will play games. I would recommend it to anyone preferring mobility and performance, not an active gamer, though it will not disappoint in the game aspect. While it may not play games like Unreal Tournament 3 or Left 4 Dead at the highest detail with no lag, it will meet most gaming needs with minimal lag.
You can utilize itunes very well with this but not as well as some others but no other computer that can do these things better is anywhere near the size of this computer. At only 3 lbs., I can take it with me on my motorcycle. Battery life seems to be about 4 hrs. between charges, which is adequate for my needs . With Migrate (comes preinstalled) I use my iMac and AirPort as a disk drive as needed. I was able to transfer all my data from the iMac to the Air with Migrate. I've been able to get onto every commercial Wi-Fi hotspot in my area. There is also a feature with it where you can utilize the cd/dvd drive of another computer on the same network that this computer is connected to. It only has one usb port, but this can also be easily fixed. You can buy a usb hub which you plug into the usb port and it has multiple other usp ports on it. All in all, it is a very good and reliable computer that looks and performs well.
