| The Dell XPS series of laptop computers are serious pieces of computing kit. They look futuristic and have the power to backup their image and of course they come with the seal of Dell reliability too. |

The M1710 has a 17" widescreen and comes in a choice of two colours, "formula red" or "metallic black". On the inside it has a 2.16GHz Intel Core Duo processor and with up to 4GB of RAM. Which is perfect and you will not need any more that.
Pros: -
* Great 3D performance, fantastic for gaming or high-end 3D tasks.
* Cool and quiet, even when gaming for hours.
* Very cool looking, especially the lights - could be mistaken as UFO from a distance.
* Great keyboard, easy to use.
* Nice screen, very bright and good colours.
Cons:
* Wireless problems, difficult to connect to the internet.
* Area below LCD and top of keyboard has some flex.
* No PCMCIA card slot for any accessories you had for older notebooks.
* Expensive! If you want it you need to show Dell the money! |
